Full-time: France 5-2 Iceland So, can France cleanse their minds free of German pain? They're going to have to, because the teams meet in Marseille on Thursday.
France were very good indeed tonight, though Iceland did not start at all well. The defence is still suss, but they may just have finally found the balance in midfield and up-front.
Anyway, thanks all for your company - bye.

There shall be two added minutes.

This has been an absolutely monumental effort from Iceland - the way France started the second half, they might have faded, but if anything they've grown in conviction since then. Obviously France's intensity dropped, but even so, the mental strength is admirable.

Immediately prior to that goal, Eidur Gudjohnsen came on for what is presumably his final international appearance, replacing Sigthorsson.

GOAL! France 5-2 Iceland (Bjarnason) This is a very nicely taken goal. Sigurdsson crosses well from the left, it eludes various heads waved in its direction, and Bjarnason plants a header beyond Evra who narrowly avoids the temptation of handling it clear.

France have ridiculous options off the bench; Martial is still there, dreaming of Van Gaal.

Coman, the tournament's fastest player, apparently, comes on for Payet who has been excellent again.

And we know what happened there.

Why are the 2016 European Championships like the 1988 FA Cup?

Gudmundsson beats Umtiti and is duly obstructed - that's a booking. But it's worth noting that Pogba was lanking like billy-o to get in behind him lest he refrain.

Now you really know that France are cruising: off goes Koscielny, on comes Mangala.

We've not had a goal for a bit, but we nearly do right there, Sissoko outmuscling Sigurdsson on halfway and pacing away - it's four on three, but he picks Payet outside him when the men inside were better placed. Still, there are options, but Saevarson holds him up well, blocking the first cross-shot and seeing the second behind.

Imagine if Belgium, Germany and France had serious managers; Chris Coleman, say.

Blaise Matuidi sounds like some advice Cheryl's dad might give his son-in-law.

Iceland win a corner down the left, and Gudmundsson flights in a beauty - Lloris doesn't come and Ingason heads goalwards; Lloris tips over very well indeed.

My internet is playing about as well as Iceland tonight.
