GOAL! Romania 0-1 Albania. Albania have got the first tournament goal that this first-half performance has deserved. Lila sends another hanging cross over from the right and Sadiku heads it back across the stranded Tatasuranu and into the net. History is made and the man of the moment is mobbed.

A poor kick from Berisha gifts Romania possession deep in the Albania half, but an underwhelming spell of possession ends with an overhit pass towards Alibec that bounces out of play.

Romania win a corner against the run of play, but Stanciu's latest delivery never gains height and Alibec's attempted flick at the near post is smothered by the nearest Albania defender before it can trouble the goal.

A brilliant defence-splitting pass from Ajeti sends Sadiku through on the Romania goal, but the Albania striker was at least a yard offside when he received the ball.

Albania are applying real pressure here and after Memushaj's shot is parried out for a corner by Tatasuranu, his smart low corner delivery is blazed well over by an unmarked Basha.

A promising Albania attack ends when Lenjani is smothered by Romania defenders and as their attempts to regain momentum are halted when play is stopped for Prepelita to receive treatment.

The ball rattles around the middle third of the pitch as both teams search for some passing rhythm. Albania are looking the marginally more composed.

Some new evidence has emerged that sheds a slightly different light on that Lenjani miss...

Albania have settled into this match and Lenjani tries to spark panic in the Romania box with a hanging cross from the left, but Tatasuranu claims the ball easily.

Romania attempt an immediate response as Stanciu tries to execute a slick one-two with Alibec, but the return pas is overhit and the move ends.

Reflections on a head-in-hands moment...

CHANCE! Albania will never get a better chance to score their first goal at a major tournament. A sweeping counterattack cuts the Romanian defence wide open and Lila crosses the ball from the right to Lenjani, who spoons his shot over when it looked easier to score.

Sapunaru goes down on the right flank after a firm tackle that claimed both man and ball. A free kick is awarded, but Stanciu's delivery is poor and cleared by the first man.

Basha sends a hopeful pass over the top looking for Alibec, but Mavraj calmly heads the ball back to Berisha under pressure.

Iordanescu has clearly instructed his players to shoot from range and Matel tries their most ambitious attempt to date, a 40-yard strike that ends up resembling a rugby union conversion more than anything you see on a football pitch.

Here's hoping we see a trademark swan dive at some point this evening...

Romania charge forward in numbers again and Alibec opens his body from range, trying to curl a shot around the last Albanian defender and into the top corner. It flies over.

Albania's fans have been the best thing about them so far...

Albania have been camped inside their own half in these first 10 minutes as Romania work the ball menacingly from side to side. Their supporters are still in fine voice but it's not a promising start for De Biasi's men.

CHANCE! Stancu is a confident man and he stings the palms of Berisha by catching a dropping ball with a fierce volley, that the Albania goalkeeper beats away.

Hoban goes down writhing after being caught on the shoulder by Basha's right boot. Referee Pavel Kralovec shows him a yellow card, but it could easily have been a red.
