As expected, this is a tight affair between two teams with mean defences.

The ball is played to Lewandowski in the box, he is surrounded by three defenders and trips Behrami and commits a foul. That was good defending.

The Swiss are having more joy on the wings with their full-backs, Lichtsteiner bursts towards the byline and sends in a cross which is blocked.

CHANCE FOR POLAND! Shaqiri has some space down the left and sends in a low cross for Dzemaili, who crashes his shot into the side netting from a tight angle.

It's just been sideways passes from the Swiss so far, not much movement from the attacking players, they're struggling to get the ball out of their own half.

The Poles have certainly had their Weetabix this morning, they have been relentless in the opening stages. Blaszczykowski has a shot from the edge of the box blocked before Milik has a downhard header comfortably saved.

Lewandowski drifts out to the right flank, he fires in a cross but there's too much zip on it and the ball goes out of play.

The Poles have made a confident start, similar to the performance against Ukraine.

WHAT A MISS! Sommer makes a mess with the clearance, he slides in to tackle Lewandoswki. The ball comes to Milik who has an empty goal to aim at but his effort goes over the bar from the edge of the box.

It's a historic day with Switzerland and Poland playing in the knockout stages for the first time in their history. As do, Wales and Northern Ireland who kick-off at 17:00 GMT.

Fortunately for Lewandowski, he has a solid support cast in Krychowiak, Blaszczykowski and Ajax forward Milik.

The Swiss make one change up front with Seferovic in for Embolo. Meanwhile, Poland boss Adam Nawalka has recalled Maczyński and Dortmund duo Piszczek, and Blaszczykowski, who were rested against Ukraine.
