Some lovely touches from Italy in tight situations but again it's all in front of England. They can't seem to find space behind the lines to showcase some of the pace and attacking nous that has been a feature of their Euros.

Agreed.

STAT: This is Italy's 10th major tournament final with only Germany (14) having played in more among European nations. Italy won the European Championship in 1968, but have lost their subsequent two final appearances in the competition (2000 and 2012).

The Italians finally link a ball beyond England's midfield. Insigne spins into space 25 yards out but drags his shot well wide of Pickford's right-hand post.

Italy with a lengthy spell of possession but it's all in front of England and not really causing any trouble.

Replays suggest Jorginho picked up the problem trying to tackle Sterling in the midfield. Azzurri fans will be hopeful he can run it off and continue.

Jorginho is back on the pitch but not moving too well at present.

Play has been halted as Jorginho receives treatment after going down for Italy. He walks to the sideline but doesn't look happy.

Mancini is quite understandably rather animated on the touchline. He's fuming with his team. England have won the tactical battle so far.

Great point.

GOOD OMEN? England are the 13th different nation to feature in a European Championship final. Just three of the previous 12 lost their first-ever final in the competition.

Meanwhile, the issue of ticket-less fans hasn't gone away.

Shaw marauds beyond Barella but can't find Mount with his ball into the channel. Once again England's wing backs are proving tough for the Italians to contain. Trippier, who came in for Saka for this match, has been a huge threat so far. Will Mancini tinker with anything to try and negate their impact?
16'
Drink in that atmosphere.

England have been superb so far. Italy's defence had been stretched down both flanks and it's the Three Lions who have looked the more likely since netting that early opener too.

ENGLAND'S WEMBLEY RECORD WON'T MAKE GOOD READING FOR ITALIANS: Southgate's side have won 15 of their past 17 games at Wembley in all competitions (D1 L1), scoring 46 goals and conceding just five in that time.

Excellent defending from Chiellini. England get in-behind down the right as Walker finds the run of Trippier. His low ball is aimed towards Sterling but Chiellini reads the danger and manages to make an important intervention.
