Evening all. Amazingly, tonight's game will be brought to you from an upbeat Old Trafford. United were superb in taking Chelsea apart on Sunday, their best performance since Spurs, Liverpool and Manchester City were beaten consecutively in spring 2015 and probably their best performance since that bloke cried off old. Surely they can't mess up one of the most gaping open nets in the history of European football?

So United are in the semis, and what a performance they produced to get there! Anderlecht played really well, but United absolutely tore into them for the last hour of the tie, created a silly number of chances, and eventually saw them away with the work of a genius. Night-night!

Full-time: Manchester United 2-1 Anderlecht (agg 3-2)

Long ball to the far post, where Kara is up with Shaw .. it's a complete mismatch at the back post! But Shaw does enough and the header goes over the top!

United have been sitting too deep, but they break and Mkhitaryan sends Martial in .. he clips past Reuben and that's that! But the flag's up!

Suddenly Anderlecht are pressing, and Shaw has to block one away - he's had a quietly excellent game tonight. Tielemans then controls a long ball and Kara tries to turn it into the box - but Valencia is there to make a crucial intervention/

Anderlecht have a puncher's chance and they've started swinging! Kara heads into the box, Valencia heads away; Kara heads into the box, Bailly lets it go, and Acheampong is in! But he can't finish! Was that their moment?!

Long ball from Spajic, and a testing length, arriving just on the edge of Romero's box ... he makes a really positive decision to come and punch clear, doing so very well.

Ajax have scored at Schalke so now lead on away goals; Besiktas and Lyon are still locked at 3-3.
113'
And it's Fellaini charging into the box to meet it, but Reuben claims ahead of him.

It's still all United - Fellaini has been excellent since coming on, and wins a corner on the by-line, fighting for the ball.

Do United stick or twist? They twist! Martial glides forward, then perseveres through two challenges and feeds Pogba, on the right of the box! He shoot punish it but instead coaxes it, allowing Reuben to save, yet again. His finishing is rudimentary, to say the least.

Imagine being Marcus Rashford.

WHAT A GOAL! AT LAST! Manchester United 2-1 Anderlecht (Rashford) agg 3-2 What a player this boy is going to be! What a player this boy already is! Shaw hits a diagonal at Fellaini, who knocks down ... but how much work is left to do! He controls beautifully on his laces, steadies, Cruyff turns his man, and rides a challenge to swipe a low left-footer past Reuben! Brilliantly done!

Schalke now lead Ajax 3-2.

So, more of the same: United pressing and missing, Anderlecht blocking and saving.

Whatever happens from here, this has been a proper United onslaught - and whatever almost happens, Tielemans, breaking through midfield and shooting straight at Romero, who fumbles after the ball bounces in front of him! But he recovers in the nick of time, and clears.

My days united have played well tonight. This time, it's Rashford breaking and he turns away from goal just outside the box to find Martial - it's a fraction out of his stride. United keep at it though, and when a subsequent cross is headed clear, Rashford's instep meets it on the volley, only for someone - Spajic I presume - to block clear.

Fantastic ball in from Martial to Fellaini at the far post, and he's up with the lark. This sends him over the top of Spajic, so it looks like a foul when he knows down for Pogba to finish. Perhaps it was a foul, too - it's hard to discern even on replay, so not surprising that it looked one to the ref.
