West Ham v Lyon result: Bowen goal helps 10-man Hammers draw with Lyon

There have been one or two nice moments but overall this has been a damp squib so far.

Lyon work it well down the left and Lucas Paquetá fizzes a cross in towards the near post, but Dembele can't adjust his body fast enough to divert an effort on goal.

Lyon continue to have the majority of the possession without really posing many questions of the West Ham rearguard.

A slick Lyon move down the left ends with Aouar firing in a deep cross that evades his two teammates in the middle.

The win over Sevilla means West Ham's European record at the London Stadium is now W4 L2 - the four victories having all come with clean sheets. The club's overall home record in Europe is now W20 D3 L6.
