Sterling runs at Smith, who fouls him several times without him going down - it would have been a second yellow - and then concedes a corner.

Oldham's response to the end of this game as a contest is to give Anton Rodgers a chance to play against his dad's team. He's applauded by the home fans as he comes on.

GOAL! I was wrong, this is over. It's an own goal by Tarkowski. Aspas tackled the defender, drove into the box and crossed. The ball eventually broke to Sterling, who shot, way off target probably, only to find Tarkowski was in the wrong place, deflecting the ball into his own net.

Agger limps off and Liverpool are down to ten for the final 10 minutes of this game. They've moved Lucas back into defence but this changes the game - Oldham have a real chance now...

Daniel Agger is injured. How injured, we do not know, but he's standing with his hands on his knees. Liverpool don't need this, especially after they've just used their last substitution.

Suarez uses his first touch to move the ball wide to Aspas, but the attack fizzles out before it begins. Oldham move forward instead.

Suarez comes on for Gerrard. Sterling thinks he's coming off, so goes to go off, before realising that he's not meant to. What hilarity!

Tarkowski makes another run from his own half, and again makes progress. It only starts to unfold for him when the referee decides, harshly, that he's fouled Lucas.

It was a great turn by Petrasso. The corner came to nothing though.
