Sterling takes on his full back and wins a corner. Coutinho's ball in is only half cleared: Toure gets a shot in, then Lucas does to, then it's out for another corner. A sequence of exciting events, I hope you'll all agree.

Early corner for Liverpool after Aspas's cross loops off a defender. Gerrard's ball in is punched away by Oxley, though, so there you go. Coutinho also came on for Moses, by the way.

Alberto is replaced by Lucas, so Gerrard will move further forward, you'd assume. We have kick off.

Oxley's goal kick finds Philliskirk, whose shot is powerful but not on target. And that's half-time!

Eventually Liverpool do create an attack though. Alberto slips a neat ball to Aspas, doesn't use the space he has well enough.

It's a nice ball, into the right area, but Henderson does well to clear and Liverpool start a counter, without the attack bit.

Adam Rooney takes on Agger and wins a corner. Can they do better with this one? (Please)

Quick, short passes by Liverpool manages to get Sterling in down the right - in space - but his low ball across the box is cut out before it can get to anyone waiting to knock it in. A good chance to create a chance, if ya know what I mean.

Clarke-Harris runs the ball out for a Liverpool goal-kick. It was good pace from him, though, even if that, alone, is worthless in the end.

But - damn it - it's an easy take for Jones in the Liverpool goal as the ball's played in too closely to him.

Gerrard concedes a foul on Clarke-Harris. Dangerous free kick to Oldham.

Gerrard's corner runs out to Sterling, whose effort is blocked out for another corner. Alberto swings that one in and Liverpool get nowhere. Do better next time, please.

Toure has to make a clearance this time. Oldham with some kind of attacks at last in the last couple of minutes.

They play it short, before Mellor puts the ball in, missing everyone. Goal-kick.

Oldham win a corner through the work of Wesolowski.

Left footed shot from Moses is blocked but Liverpool come back at Oldham again straight away. Gerrard and Henderson exchange passes in midfield...before Henderson's pass is wayward and that's the end of that.

Kelly into Sterling who hits a naff shot over the bar. It was well worked, until the shot.

Moses decides to cut back rather than cross after a neat pass from Alberto found him in some space. His decision means Liverpool have to start again.

Agger makes an interception and Gerrard gets to move forward with the ball. Liverpool decide to take this one slowly, though. Pass pass pass.
