Wigan have a throw in their half, and predictably don't rush into taking it. Boyce eventually takes the ball, and sends it long. City win it back.

In to the back post for Garcia, untracked, but he can't quite reach it, and that should be that.

The corner comes to nothing, and City come forward again. Clichy overhits a corner that Milner collects, and he is tackled to win a throw. City then win a free kick 35 yards out, as Espinoza trips Garcia. He's booked.

City lose the ball, Gomez finds Fortune on the inside left, and he stabs a shot at Pantilimon from a tight angle to win a corner.

Milner's latest cross is headed away, and Garcia comes thundering in with a header of his own to put the ball out for a goal kick.

There are going to be five minutes of added time. City will be surprised if they don't at least get a draw.

Gomez wins a free kick for Wigan just on the edge of the box. Gomez sends in a cross. Why on Earth did they not take it short and keep it in the corner? City break with Aguero, and he tumbles. Despite that, he is penalised for pulling back Boyce.

Fortune holds the ball up in the corner for Wigan, and wins a throw in. Wigan will waste as much time as possible now, and why not?

Dzeko is booked, for being struck in the arm by McArthur. An accidental injury, and a stupid booking.

Dzeko now. Nasri sends in a cross for him and he heads just wide.

Dzeko pulls the ball back to Milner, and his shot is blocked away from goal. City are getting closer with each effort.

Carson with a diving stop from Dzeko and Wigan just clear. It's getting heated.

How did he miss? Silva has the ball on the inside right, and Boyce just gets there ahead of him. The corner is cleared. For a moment, it looked like a dreadful miss by Dzeko.

Gomez handballs in midfield. City take quickly, and Dzeko cuts onto his right and blasts against McCann. Cuity have a corner, which drifts out.

Aguero receives the ball in a promising position. Well, theoretically promising, as he's offside.

City are now doing what they do best and piling forward, but so far Wigan have stood up as well as could be hoped. They then win a free kick in midfield after a foul from Milner on Espinoza, and they won't worry to restart the game. Milner is booked.

Aguero is through on goal, with a heavy touch, and he just sends his shot wide of goal. It wouldn't have mattered, because even if he had scored, and despite being onside, the linesman had raised his flag.

The ball loops off a falling and spinning Aguero, but Carson claims easily enough.

Wigan have reasserted themselves, perhaps only momentarily, but City aren't quite as frantic as they were.
