Hello and welcome to live coverage of the FA Cup quarter-final between Manchester City and Wigan Athletic. You don't need to say it - I know. We all miss Roberto Mancini, and this recreation of 2013's final has really brought his absence home to all of us.

Penalty for Wigan! Martin Demichelis with another textbook Demichelis. Fortune turns Demichelis, sprints towards the goal, and Demichelis hooks round a leg and trips him.
25'
A cross towards Negredo from deep, but the ball is just too high for him to glance onwards to goal.
24'
Navas fires in a cross, that's blocked by McCann, and City have a corner on the right. Taken short, and a pass towards Navas is cut out for a throw.
23'
Toure, on the edge of the box, finds Navas' run to the byline, and he fizzes in a low cross that Carson does well to dive on. Ramis protects his keeper, and trouble is averted.
21'
The ball is aimed forward for McManaman to break down the right wing, but City collect and there's no real trouble. City then win a throw on the right wing in midfield.
20'
City still taking their time, but there is no reason for them to panic.
18'
Clichy is ruled offside as he tries to get onto a ball from Nasri over the top.
17'
Ramis cleared the ball away from Negredo with a hugely high foot, but he didn't catch Negredo on the upward movement. It was risky, but fair.
16'
Wigan faff about in defence, and Negredo almost gets through. Wigan might hold on if they're lucky, but not if they take any more risks like that.
15'
Navas wins the ball on the right wing and earns a corner. It's cleared by McCann at the near post - poor effort from Nasri.
13'
Clichy pulls the ball back for Negredo, but it's sent back out to Nasri. City play on the left of th epitch, outside the box, but Toure's ball forward is cut out. Wigan have patiently played the ball forward to the left wing, and now to the right. They're in no hurry.
12'
Nasri tries to slip a ball forward but the pass is intercepted and McCann breaks forward. His pass for Fortune is collected by Richards, and City are back with the ball in their own half.
11'
Perch's cross for Fortune is just about cleared by Demichelis. City break, but the move breaks down and Carson hoofs it deep into the City half.
10'
City still dominating, playing in Wigan's half but under not a great deal of pressure. A though ball forward finds Negredo on the inside left, but he's called offside as he runs into the box.
9'
McCann heads the ball away form the corner, and the ball strikes Micah Richards on the arm, so Wigan have a free kick in order to clear.
8'
City are in charge of the ball now, as you would expect to be the case for the rest of the game. Clichy sends in a cross, put behind by Wigan for a City corner on the left wing.
6'
Whoever wins between these two will get to play Arsenal, and will then probably go on to play Hull City in the final should they beat them. You'd have to say that the FA Cup already has Wigan's name on it, though. Wigan head clear a City cross.
4'
City continue to chase the ball. Obviously they won't exactly be terrified of the Wigan attack.
3'
Athletic are able to keep possession well enough, and they don't look like your typical Championship side. Then again, Manchester United do look like your typical Championside, and they're in the Premier League.

The match kicks off and Wigan have an early burst forward. They are not sitting back.
