Another good tussle between Sterling and Henley. That’s going to be a good battle tonight.

So Blackburn close to taking the lead here. Horrid miscommunication between Sakho and Mignolet but a good save rescues them.

Sakho caught napping and Conway is almost in. He gets the shot away but Mignolet saves for a corner!

So far, so good for Blackburn for the first ten minutes. Not allowed Liverpool to settle.

Sterling inches away from getting onto a long ball but great defending from Henley to shut him out.

Cairney caught by Lucas and the referee has a word. Free kick only though.

A quick change of boots for Daniel Sturridge. He’s gone for the slightly bigger studs due to the nature of the pitch.

LONG SHOT: Sterling tries his luck from outside the box and it ripples the netting above the bar. Eastwood had it covered.

CHANCE: The first opportunity falls to Joe Allen from Sturridge’s knock-down but he volleys wide.

Liverpool trying to pass it around early but the ball is bobbling a bit and Blackburn pressing well.

No Emre Can or Martin Skrtel for Liverpool, so Blackburn will be looking to exploit that defence. The pitch looks slow and sticky, a real bobbler. Should also suit the hosts.

TEN MINUTES TO KICK-OFF: So looks like Liverpool going with four at the back with Sterling, Coutinho and Sturridge the attacking force in a 4-3-3. Will it be enough against a determined Rovers side?

Brendan Rodgers: "Probably the Blackburn game when we drew 0-0 and the games following that we haven't created as much. That's something that we want to reinforce - the creativity for chances and hopefully taking those chances. It's a difficult system to play against, but it's one of a number of systems we've played here and played very well. It's my job to always look to find the solutions, that's what I've tried to do in the games when we didn't look like scoring, finding a way to win."

Gary Bowyer on Liverpool 'crisis': "I think it's ridiculous that after losing two games, the team that was hailed prior to those two games as being the best in the Premier League - which they were at the time with the football they were playing - then comes in for that. Brendan Rodgers has done an unbelievable job, he doesn't need me telling him. But that's just the world we live in now - it's crazy."
