The ball breaks for Cleverley to have a pop from the edge of the box in the opening moments, but Courtois makes a comfortable stop.

Fair to say there isn't a huge amount of sympathy for Hazard among some Chelsea fans. It isn't a great look if he isn't playing with a "small issue" in a week when his commitment has been questioned. Still, as his father assures us, he has been suffering from injury for a long time now.

Whoever wins this will join Crystal Palace in the semi-finals, along with either Watford or Arsenal and Manchester United or West Ham. There's some good teams left, but it's a pretty open competition.

Both Chelsea and Everton have had disappointing seasons so the FA Cup has assumed great importance for both managers. Roberto Martinez are two of the three active Premier League managers other than Arsene Wenger who have won the competition (the other is new addition Rafa Benitez) so both know what it feels like to lift the trophy at Wembley.

As for Everton, Leighton Baines is in for Bryan Oviedo, and John Stones and Kevin Mirallas are replaced by Gareth Barry and Tom Cleverley as they revert to a 4-3-3 after playing three at the back and losing 3-2 to West Ham last time out.

So Chelsea make one change from the team which lost 2-1 to PSG as Nemanja Matic replaces Eden Hazard. It's a decision which sends Cesc Fabregas higher up the pitch. Chelsea won't miss Hazard: he has been absolutely awful this season.
