Good evening and welcome to the magic of the FA Cup third round. It’s League Two Exeter City playing host to Premier League giants Liverpool. It’s the fairytale draw for the Grecians who will feel their chances of causing a massive upset have improved as a result of the Merseysiders’ injury crisis. Can they stun Klopp and co? Exeter will no doubt want to test Liverpool with their set piece deliveries, but their latest one comes to nothing. LFC not exactly solid at dealing with deliveries into the box.

Liverpool take a short free kick on the right with Connor Randall surging beyond two before fizzing a rising cross-shot beyond the far post. Looked like the keeper may have got fingertips on it, but no corner given.

After that flurry of goals and goalmouth action the match has settled down a bit. Liverpool edging it now.

MIND THE GAP:  LFC, eighth in PL, versus Exeter who are 16th in League Two.

A few LFC-related stats: It is 10 years since Liverpool last lifted the FA Cup - they won it for the seventh time after beating West Ham on penalties in 2006. Last season they reached the Semi-Final, only to lose 2-1 to Aston Villa at Wembley. Liverpool have won six of their last eight away games in this competition - including all four last season.

DID YOU KNOW? The last time the Reds lost to a team at least three divisions below them in the FA Cup was in 1959 when non-league Worcester City won 2-1.
