GOAL! Liverpool are level! A superb reaction from the visitors as Exeter make a real hash of clearing their lines from a hopeful ball into the box, allowing Benteke to toe-poke a pass into Sinclair who coolly rolls it into the corner.

Liverpool almost respond immediately but Smith's piledriver from a half-cleared corner is blocked inside the six-yard box.

That was Nichols' 10th of the season and no doubt his favourite so far! It's still Liverpool regardless of who is wearing the shirt.

GOAL! Shock on the cards... Exeter take the lead. Tom Nichols slides a lovely finish into the bottom corner from a beautifully weighted right-wing pass.

SMALL WORLD: Exeter have reached this stage of the competition for the first time since 2004-05 when they drew 0-0 at Manchester United before losing the replay 2-0. The Grecians manager in that tie was current Liverpool Academy Director Alex Inglethorpe.

First sign of Benteke as he exchanges passes with Sinclair, but he can't quite wrestle free to get a decent shot away.

This is the FIFTH successive season the Reds have met a team from outside of the top-flight in Round 3.

STAT: The last time Exeter reached the third round they earned a goalless draw at Old Trafford in 2005 as a non-league club, before losing the replay 2-0 to Manchester United at St James Park.

Holmes skips free on the left but his floated cross is easily gobbled up by Bogdan under no pressure.

Will Exeter write themselves into FA Cup folklore? They will have to step up their level in more ways than one. Their recent form has been poor with just one win in six and four defeats on the bounce since their round two success over Port Vale.

Three LFC players are making their debut tonight in the shape of Tiago Ilori (returned from Aston Villa loan), Kevin Stewart (return from Swindon loan) and Ryan Kent. In fact, just two of the players in the starting XI have managed five+ appearances for the first team.

Exeter manager Paul Tisdale's pre-match comments may have altered on seeing the LFC teamsheet: "It's a compromise between how much you risk, but what we don't want to do is just go into the game to defend. We are not just looking to sit back and hold on. I don't want to do that. I think we need to have some intent about us. I don't think we should hold back and wait for the game to happen."

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wasn't beating about the bush in his pre-match press conference when discussing the team he'd play: "The team that will play will want to win this game for sure, with 100%, with everything they have. But it will be a team which maybe has not played too much together that's the truth. If it's a chance for Exeter then they have to take it. That's football. We only go there to win the game, to go to the next round."

Exeter right-back Christian Ribeiro on tonight's clash: "This Liverpool game is an amazing distraction and everyone's delighted for it. But our main aim this year was to get promoted and at the minute we're not achieving that. Our main goal this year wasn't to play Liverpool in the FA Cup - they're bonuses. I'm sure there'll be lots of nervousness, that anxious feeling knowing there's lots of people watching, so it's going to be massive but we've got to rise to that occasion."
