Morata is hilarious. Hudson-Odoi plays him in, and zoning in from the left, he buries his shot in Cech's legs. He despises finishing.

Hudson-Odoi drives into the box again and cuts away from Bellerin to make an angle for the shot, which is blocked clear by Kolasinac.

Aubameyang and Ozil have barely had a kick here. I'm not sure how Arsenal expected to get a kick with the midfield they've put out.

Hudson-Odoi is looking handy, and he crosses for Morata, who heads into Mustafi and behind. The corner comes to nothing.

Morata celebrates the birth of his twins by ramming a crap penalty low and close to Cech, of course he does; Cech saves easily enough.

PENALTY CHELSEA! Alonso sticks Hudson-Odoi into space and he cuts inside, running at Bellerin, then goes outside as the slide comes in; he allows it to level him, very slowly, and that's an easy call for the ref.

The game is picking up pace, Chelsea looking the more confident outfit as you'd expect given Arsenal's midfield of Elneny, Guendouzi and Smith Rowe. I wonder if Ozil will move in there - to what end, I'm not certain.

Nice from Chelsea, Fabregas finding Pedro just outside the box and proceeding into it to collect a cleverly cut back return. But he can't turn his body to shoot, so instead pokes at Morata who's offside.

Arse nbal put a move together, Guendouzi spreading the ball wide and Kolasinac tanking towards the line, but his touch is heavy and his cut-back can't find any of his mates in the box.

The commentator says "appree-see-ated".

Arsenal have shown nothing in attack yet.

GOAL! Arsenal 0-1 Chelsea (Rudiger) Fabregas takes the corner down the right and clips it towards the near post where Rudiger, unmarked - Smith Rowe is the nearest defender, so perhaps he was Ramsey's man - heads firmly home.

Lovely from Hudson-Odoi, spinning and dashing in behind to receive Alonso's pass before laying back for Fabregas. He spanks a rising shot, which Cech shovels behind.

Chelsea progress down the left and Hudson-Odoi flicks a pass for the overlapping Alonso, but he set off too fast so up goes the flag.

It's pretty sedate as we learn that Ramsey felt something in the warm-up so has been replaced by Smith Rowe - he of the lovely goal against Atletico and the new contract as of yesterday.

The referee is 38 years-old and from Monaghan, now that you ask.

It's pleasant in Dublin.

I can't stop looking at that Arsenal defence, and for that reason, I've decided that I fancy Chelsea. I've not seen much of Sokratis, but I have been told to be pleased that he wasn't signed by my team. We shall see, but one can only applaud the expertise of Sven Mislintat for uncovering him, along with two other players who he worked with at Dortmund.
