Hello and welcome to LIVE coverage of the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg between Manchester City and Manchester United. City lead 3-1 from the first leg at Old Trafford and are strong favourites to meet Aston Villa at Wembley in March. United will take heart from their impressive 2-1 at the Etihad in the Premier League last month, though they need to win by two goals tonight to take the tie to penalties. We'll have team news shortly.

It was a nervous night at the Etihad, particularly after Nemanja Matic scored in the 35th minute, but City were much the better team over 180 minutes and fully deserve to go through. The goalscorer Matic was sent off in the second half, and City kept United at arm’s length after that. United really missed Marcus Rashford. They still managed to win at the Etihad for the second time in a month – but this one is a hollow victory.

Fred's work rate is incredible. He could play for five hours and he'd still be haring around at full pelt.
88'
Fred's free-kick hits the wall. It wasn't the greatest effort.
87'
Fred, Mata and Pereira are over it. Surely Mata should take it?
86'
Otamendi flattens Maguire on the edge of the D and is booked. That was a ludicrous tackle, and this is a big chance for United.

United look shattered. They've been chasing the ball for a lot of this game.
84'
Aguero has a goal disallowed for offside! It was a delightful goal, too, flicked deftly past de Gea after a fine move involving Cancelo and De Bruyne, but he was just beyond the last defender.
82'
City are passing the clock down. Nobody does it better.
79'
United make their final change, with Juan Mata replacing Luke Shaw. That probably means a switch to a 4-2-1-2 formation.
78'
Gundogan blasts a loose ball miles over the bar from long range.
77'
Pereira has moved back alongside Fred, so United's formation is now 3-4-2.
76'
MATIC IS SENT OFF! He gets a second yellow card for a block on Gundogan, who was leading a City counter-attack, and now United are in all sorts of bother. For a player of Matic's experience, that was a bit dumb. As promising as City's counter-attack was, Gundogan was 70 yards from United's goal.

Moments after that Silva/Gundogan chance, Aguero smashed the ball into the side netting from a tight angle. De Gea had it covered. But it does feel like a City goal is coming.
73'
What a chance for City! Maguire gave the ball away in his own area, with Aguero getting a touch on his attempted pass out of defence. It ran to David Silva, who had a clear shot on goal but instead decided to play the ball behind him to Gundogan. That gave Maguire just enough time to redeem his own error with a vital tackle on Gundogan.
