Manchester United v Crystal Palace LIVE – League Cup latest as Casemiro doubles United's advantage

Dean Henderson's Palace debut is over after 19 minutes due to injury. Sam Johnstone has replaced him.

Dean Henderson doesn't look to be moving great on his Crystal Palace debut. He could be coming off less than 20 minutes into his debut.

Crystal Palace's game plan is already set, they are sitting deep and looking to frustrate United whilst also looking to use their pace to spring forward on a counter-attack when they can. United are having to be patient thus far.

Amrabat has started at left back but he is popping up all over the pitch in these opening 11 minutes.

The ball is fed into the penalty area looking for Mateta but Maguire reads the danger and sticks a boot in to clear the danger.

Diogo Dalot does well on the right-hand side to find Amrabat around 25 yards out but the Moroccan gets it all wrong with a wild strike that flies high and wide.

Crystal Palace haven't been able to get out of their own half in the opening five minutes. United are playing some neat football on the edge of the penalty area but haven't really tested Palace yet.

Manchester United are enjoying a good spell of possession at the moment as they look to settle into a passing rhythm.

Both sides have made seven changes so it could take a while for both sides to get into the full flow of the match.

It looks as though new midfield signing Sofyan Amrabat is playing at left back tonight.

Manchester United have lost three of their last four matches across all competitions, losing to Arsenal, Brighton and Bayern Munich before getting back on track with a narrow 1-0 win over Burnley on the weekend.

Palace started the season on the front foot with a 1-0 win away at Sheffield United but since then have picked up one Premier League win from their next five matches (3-2 vs Wolves). Last time out they were held to a 0-0 draw by Fulham at Selhurst Park and will be hoping they can really kick into gear tonight with what would be a huge win at Old Trafford.

Crystal Palace have never won the League Cup and have only ever been as far as the semi-final, a stage they have reached on four separate occasions. They reached the semi-final most recently in 2012 where they lost to Cardiff City on penalties.

Palace entered the competition at the second round this season and had to come back from 2-0 down to beat Plymouth 4-2 to ensure their place in the third round.
