Manchester United v Crystal Palace LIVE – League Cup latest as Casemiro doubles United's advantage

Manchester United are the defending champions of the EFL Cup, having beaten Newcastle United 2-0 at Wembley last season. Only Liverpool (9) and Manchester City (8) have won the competition more times than United (6).

Crystal Palace have never won the League Cup and have only ever been as far as the semi-final, a stage they have reached on four separate occasions. They reached the semi-final most recently in 2012 where they lost to Cardiff City on penalties.

Palace entered the competition at the second round this season and had to come back from 2-0 down to beat Plymouth 4-2 to ensure their place in the third round.

Erik ten Hag has made seven changes from the team that faced Burnley. Sofyan Amrabat comes in for his first start, Pellistri, Maguire, Mount, Martial, Varane and Garnacho also come in.

Dean Henderson and Rob Holding are both making their Crystal Palace debuts tonight. The two players are part of the six changes Roy Hodgson has made for this clash. Henderson goes up against the club he made 29 appearances for.
