What is surprising is that Villarreal are standing off their opponents as they have the ball. They know that there's only a minute to go, right? They need to win that ball now or it's over!

I've been very impressed with Rafinha tonight. He has been the one pressing high up the pitch from the centre of midfield, and he's even been the inventive creator in chief for Barcelona too.

I'm not entirely sure what happened but Rafinha has taken a hefty blow to the nose and is currently receiving some treatment on it. Although he seems determined to carry on.

Villarreal sub: Jonathan Dos Santoss OFF, Moi Gomez ON.

Barcelona are now attempting to see out this game by knocking the ball around and nullifying the Villarreal threat with countless short passes in the centre of the midfield area.

Jonathan's freekick delivery into the Barcelona danger area is a good one, with Vietto meeting it. But he gets too much on his connection and his header flies over the target.

Great chance for Neymar to make it 4-2. Messi plays a whipped cross to the back post, where the Brazilian is waiting, but he gets his feet in a bit of a muddle and can't sort them out to apply the finish.

Barcelona sub: Luis Suarez OFF, Pedro Rodriguez ON.

I'm a bit surprised that Marcelino hasn't gone with a more attacking change, given the situation they find themselves in tonight. Trigueros is a good player but will only hold things up in midfield.

Villarreal sub: Tomas Pina OFF, Manuel Trigueros ON.

Mathieu has made a difference to the Barcelona defence in the short time that he has been on the pitch. The former Valencia man is left footed and so has brought a certain balance.

Suarez tries his best to combine with Alves in the Villarreal penalty area, but the one two isn't quite strong enough and the away side can break forward on the rapid counter attack.
