Neymar has a shot on goal this time. The Brazilian managed to get the effort away under pressure from three Malaga players, but it was rather simple for Kameni to make the save.

Although they have conceded much of the possession to Barcelona, Malaga have looked relatively well organised at the back and have done well so far to keep a clean sheet.

Tissone gets a quiet word from the referee for that foul. The Malaga man went in hard on Busquets, and although the Barca midfielder rolled about the ground in faux pain, it wasn't a good tackle.

Rakitic whips another dangerous delivery into the Malaga penalty area, but the away team deal with this one much better. The Croatian has one of the best crosses in the game.

That pass wasn't meant for Suarez but he did really well to win the corner kick. I think Messi was actually looking for the run of Neymar with the pass with the outside of the foot.

Looking at the replays, Mascherano really should have scored there. He was unmarked and had time to direct his header. The former Liverpool man has never scored for Barcelona before.

OFF THE CROSSBAR! Messi swings an excellent ball into the box, with Mascherano sending a header towards the target. But his effort flashes off the top of the woodwork and over.

Malaga sub: Weligton OFF, Raul Albentosa ON.

This could be an issue for Malaga. Weligton has hit the turf and it looks like he might have to come off here with injury. He is 36, so wil Gracia take any chances with this one?

Suarez wants a penalty kick! Kameni comes off his line to claim a pass through from Alba, and takes out the former Liverpool striker in the process. But he won the ball first.

Juankar is raging with Amrabat for not playing a better pass! Malaga had the chance on the counter attack, but the final ball was poor and Bravo comes off his line to gather the loose ball.

Messi hits the turf under the tackle of Juankar on the edge of the box, but the referee shakes his head at the Argentine's appeals for a freekick and Malaga break on the counter attack.

CLOSE TO A MALAGA OPENER! Bravo turned around and watched that. He stood no chance. Barcelona give up play in midfield, with Juankar shooting from 40 yards out. Bravo was off his line, but it only finds the top of the net.

Bravo was lucky there! The corner kick into the Barcelona six yard box should have been easy for the goalkeeper to collect, but he drops it and pounces on it on the first bounce.

Malaga hit out on the counter attack! They come out of defence with pace, and Cop does well to win the corner kick from Mascherano. The on loan Catania striker is their outlet.

The frontline just looks so much more natural with Neymar playing. He gives them pace and perhaps most importantly width. He drifts from side to side, which makes him very hard to mark.

Barcelona have started the game well in terms of their control of possession and dictation of direction. But they haven't really created too much in the way of goalscoring chances.

Neymar makes a difference to this Barcelona team. They are a much faster side with him in the starting lineup. They move the ball through the lines of midfield and attack quicker.
