Marcelo has been excellent for Real Madrid this evening. He has been controlling that left wing, with the Brazilian doing more than his fair share of attacking. He is effectively a winger.

Of course, Real Madrid really need to pick up three points this evening. There is currently a seven point gap between them and Barcelona at the top of the Liga table. That won't do.

HALF-TIME: Real Madrid 4-0 Espanyol. The omens weren't good for Espanyol before kick-off, and they could hardly look much worse after the opening 45 minutes. What a display from Real Madrid.
