FULL TIME: Eibar 1-4 Real Madrid

This was easy for Real Madrid. For a few hours they will sit at the top of La Liga until Barcelona play their game later this evening. This was a comprehensive victory for Zidane's side, and they did it without both Bale and Ronaldo. Benzema was the star man for the visitors.

This has been a walk in the park for Real Madrid. It had the potential to be something of a banana skin for them, but from the moment they scored the opener they have looked comfortable.

Just two minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the match.

Real Madrid dropped points at home to Eibar earlier in the season, but they have made no such slip ups here. They have been by far the better side and will leave with a win.

And Eibar make their final change. Both sides are just going through the motions now.

Benzema has been the main man for Real Madrid, but the performances of both James and Asensio have to be recognised. They have been exceptional, making the most of their opportunity.

This game is fading now. Neither side really want to play these final five minutes. They just want the final whistle. It's been a non-contest from the moment Real scored the opener.

This quite interesting. For the first time in the match Eibar are committing quite a few players forward. Not much in it for them, but then you could argue - what have they got to lose?

And another good thing for Real Madrid is that both Barcelona and Sevilla are still to play their games this weekend. Sevilla have to wait until Monday night to play!

Besides the goal they conceded a few moments ago, this has been the perfect game for Real Madrid. The contest was settled early on and Zidane has been able to rest some players.

James has played well today, but he's being hooked for the final 10 minutes of the match and on comes Isco in his place.

And there goes the clean sheet for Real Madrid. Zidane will be so disappointed that his side have conceded for another game. There needs to be some development at the back.

Indeed, there's the change from Zidane and he takes off Modric to give him a rest for the final 25 minutes.

It looks like there is some activity down on the Real Madrid touchline and Zidane is finally going to make a change to his side. Surprised it has taken him this long, to be honest.

Eibar have been extremely disappointing this afternoon, but I just wonder if fatigue is a factor in how they have played. They have played three games in the space of a week.
