The Liga leaders rode their luck at times, a better team would have surely made more of the opportunities given up, but Real Madrid escape with three poiints and a 3-0 win that doesn't quite convey how tough this match was for them. This win piles the pressure on Barcelona ahead of their match against Granada later this evening.

This win for Real Madrid will pile the pressure on Barcelona to beat Granada later this evening to stay within touching distance of their great rivals. The title race is coming into the final stretch.

That's harsh on Alaves. They have impressed in this second half, creating more opportunities than Real Madrid, but the home side have scored a second goal to claim the win.

Alaves make their last change of the match as they look to snatch an equaliser in the final five minutes.

This is very unusual. Real Madrid now seem to be quite content with Alaves having the majority of possession, inviting pressure on top of themselves. They're sitting deep, defending.

Real Madrid need some of Vazquez's energy and drive in these final 10 minutes. It's all fallen a little flat at the Bernabeu. The hosts can't allow three points to slip through their grasp.

Here comes the change for Real Madrid, with Vazquez coming on to replace Benzema.

That was the wrong pass from Isco. He showed great skill to get away from his marker and surge forward on the counter attack, but he didn't spot the run of Benzema who was free.

It looks like Real Madrid are about to make a change with Lucas Vazquez down on the touchline ready to come on. But who will he replace? Could Ronaldo be about to come off?

SCUFFED SHOT! Ronaldo should have done much better with that opportunity. He had the chance to test Pacheco from about 10 yards out, but he completely scuffed his effort.

Isco has had a quiet game. Of course, he has been in the news this week with reports that Barcelona will make a move for him when his Real Madrid contract expires in 2018.

Real Madrid need to get their passing game going again. Not only have they conceded a number of chances in this second half, they have lost control of the possession in the middle of the pitch.
