Roberto gets in behind the Real Madrid backline once again, with the ball squared to Suarez in the middle. He goes down over Navas' arms. The two players end up squaring up afterwards.

Nacho sees the first booking of the match for catching Suarez in the tackle.

That goal means Real Madrid still haven't kept a clean sheet in a Clasico against Barcelona since 2007. That's 21 games! They look vulnerable at the back once again tonight.

There was a spare man at the back post and Roberto picked him out with a cross, finding Suarez with the cross. The striker finishes on the full volley to give the Catalans the lead!

The build up to this game was dominated by the story that Real Madrid would not give rivals Barcelona a guard of honour for winning the league title. True to their word, they didn't.

RONALDO SHOT! That's the first sight of goal for the Real Madrid number seven. He's out on the left wing, takes the shot from outside the box, but the strike is straight at Ter Stegen.

JUST OFFSIDE! That was a close one. Ronaldo was played in behind the Barcelona defence. He was clean through on goal, but the flag was raised on the far side for offside. Just.

Barcelona have started the better of the two sides in the opening few minutes of this match. Real Madrid haven't managed to get out of their own half yet. Very positive for the hosts.

SUAREZ CHANCE! An early opportunity for Barcelona. Messi threaded Suarez in behind the Real Madrid defence, but Ramos came across to make the late block on his shot.

Of course, Barcelona were crowned La Liga champions last week, but the Catalans are aiming to go the whole league season unbeaten and therein lies the motivation this evening.

As for Real Madrid, Zidane has made a number of changes to his team. Most notably, Bale is in for the visitors to Camp Nou. The Welshman has been a peripheral figure of late.
