We have seen a resurgence from Alba under Valverde this season. The left back came in for some criticism last season from his own fans, but he has looked back to his best this term.

I wonder what changes Valverde might make in the second half. Keep in mind that he's trying to rotate his squad ahead of next week's Champions League match against Sporting Lisbon.

Suarez has been struggling for form early on this season and he'll be disappointed that that hasn't been given as his goal. The Barcelona striker has only scored once so far.

So as things stand Girona have scored two own goals. That's the difference between the two sides at this stage. That's harsh on the home side. They have looked poor at the back.

Now, La Liga has given that goal as an own goal. Suarez gave the impression of getting a touch on it, but in fact it was actually Gorka who diverted the cross from Vidal into his own net.

Umitit probably did just enough. The French defender batled with Olunga as the cross came into the box, but he put th striker under just enough pressure to make sure he headed wide.

Paulinho was one of the most surprising signings of the summer anywhere in the game, but the Brazilian is proving his worth to Barcelona. He gives them something different. Another option.

SHOULD BE 2-0! That was an opportunity for Paulinho to score for a third successive match. The corner came in from Rakitic, but the Brazilian managed to glance his header wide.
