PENALTY SHOUT! Ronaldo goes down inside the area under the challenge of Lenglet, but the referee shakes his head and waves play on. The Portuguese thinks that should have been a spot kick.

Sevilla are really struggling here. They are essentially holding on for dear life. Real Madrid have been excellent in the opening half an hour of this match. A third is coming.

VAZQUEZ OVER! Asensio finds the winger out on the right side, creating the chance for a shot. But the angle was tight and he could only lash high and wide. Ronaldo isn't happy with that.

The tactics are working from Zidane up until this point. His selection suggested that he wanted pace in the wide areas and in the final third. That's what did the damage with that second goal.

Well, that was an exceptional goal from Real Madrid. Ronaldo played the offside trap brilliantly. The skill from Asensio was wonderful. All round, that was a lovely goal from the hosts.

That was a wonderful cross from Asensio. The youngster has some delivery on him. I get the feeling that Real Madrid haven't made the most of that trait so far this season.

HEADER WIDE! Benzema gets up high to get on the end of a cross into the box from the left wing, but the Frenchman couldn't get over it enough and head wide of the target.

Zidane will be pleased with how his side started the match, taking the lead after just thre minutes, but he might be concerned with how Sevilla have gained a foothold since then.

Real Madrid are without a number of key defensive figures this afternoon. Ramos and Varane are both injured, with Carvajal also missing. Casemiro is also absent for the champions.

Of course, Ronaldo is still struggling for goals in La Liga. He has nine goals in six games in the Champions League this season, but he hasn't found it so easy in the league. Which is strange.

Sevilla are starting to grow into the contest a little bit. They have seen more of the ball in the last five minutes or so. Real Madrid are having to do some defending of their own.

It should be noted that Asensio is back in the Real Madrid starting lineup. The youngster has fallen out of favour over the past few weeks, but he has been struggling for game time.

Real Madrid are winning a lot of corner kicks, which are causing Sevilla problems. This time Vallejo heads over from close range, but the flag was up on the far side. He was offside.

RONALDO JUST WIDE! Now it's the Real Madrid number seven's turn to aim a shot at goal, but it picks up a deflection and spins just past the post. That wasn't far away from Ronaldo.
