RONALDO JUST WIDE! Now it's the Real Madrid number seven's turn to aim a shot at goal, but it picks up a deflection and spins just past the post. That wasn't far away from Ronaldo.

It's somewhat surprising that Isco has been dropped to the bench for this game. But the early signs are that Real Madrid will look to make the most of their quality on the wings.

Indeed, Sevilla are struggling to find their composure here. They need to settle into this game. They have the quality to cause Real Madrd problems of their own, but this has been poor so far.

Ronaldo looks pumped up for this one. He's driving forward with the ball at his feet at will. Of course, he won his fifth Ballon d'Or during the week, drawing him level with Lionel Messi.

That's exactly what Sevilla would have wanted to avoid. They have barely had a touch of the ball with just a few minutes played and now they find themselves behind. They look nervous.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Real Madrid 1 (3 mins - Nacho Fernandez) Sevilla 0. What a defensive mix up from Sevilla! Kjaer managed to head the corner kick back into the danger area and Nacho was on hand to stab home the finish high into the roof of the net.

GOOD SAVE! The first chance of the match falls to Vazquez on the edge of the Sevilla penalty area, curling a shot towards the goal. But Rico did well to make the diving save.

There are a number of surprises in the Real Madrid starting lineup this afternoon. Zidane has made a number of changes to his team from the one that faced Dortmund during the week.
