Well, what an astonishing result at the Santiago Bernabeu. Villarreal defended for much of the match, but they have come away with all three points! This is the second time Real Madrid have lost at home in La Liga this season. The pressure will now mount significantly on Zidane.

It's not just happening for Real Madrid at the moment. They are getting into attacking positions, but they are showing a lack of imagination in the final third. They can't break down Villarreal.

Real Madrid are now playing in something of a 4-3-3 formation, but their attacking players seem to be playing wherever they feel like it. There's not much shape at the moment.

This is an opportunity for Asensio to show that he can still be a match winner for Real Madrid. He has fallen out of favour in recent weeks and months, but there's no doubting his quality.

Villarreal have shown in this second half that they are capable of making the breakthrough. They have the ball and are probing this Real Madrid defensive line.
