We were made to wait for the good stuff, but this match exploded into life in the final 15 minutes. It's strange because at 0-0 both teams looked happy with a point apiece, but two goals later Atleti and Barca look disappointed. Dembele came off the bench to save his team. It was probably a deserved point.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Atletico Madrid 1 Barcelona 1 (90 mins - Ousmane Dembele). A late equaliser and the Metropolitano deflates! Great play from Messi to draw three Atletico Madrid players to him, popping the pass out to Dembele, who takes the touch and then finds the back of the net with a low finish!

Deflected wide! The Metropolitano holds its breath as Messi lines up the freekick about 25 yards out, but he strikes the Atleti wall and the ball flashes behind for a corner kick.

Rodri drags back Messi as he surges through the midfield and sees yellow. This is prime Messi territory. Can he make it count? This will be given the big build up.

Messi freekick saved! Barcelona muster a shot on target for the first time this evening, but the freekick from their number 10 is straight at Oblak and that was comfortable for the keeper!

Injuries! Costa is down in the centre circle and Suarez also looks to be holding his side. There hasn't been a great deal of quality on show, but it has been a bruising clash!

It hasn't been a vintage match, that's for sure, but this could be a big moment in the Liga title race! Costa has his first ever goal against Barcelona! As things stand, Atleti are top!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Atletico Madrid 1 (78 mins - Diego Costa) Barcelona 0. Finally, a breakthrough! It's Atletico Madrid who have taken the lead and it's Costa! The striker got on the end of a corner kick delivery from Griezmann to the back post and he squeezes the header through ter Stegen!

No penalty! There is no doubt that the cross from Griezmann struck the arm of Vidal, and it was in an unusual position, but the officials decide that it wasn't a penalty. Big moment!
