Navas perhaps got a bit lucky with that save. He parried the ball out into the centre of his own penalty box. Fortunately for Real Madrid, there was nobody in a blue shirt waiting.

Navas has to make the save! Arambarri smashes the freekick from 20 yards out towards the Real Madrid goal, but the powerful effort was straight at the Costa Rican goalkeeper, who beats the ball away.

Isco is booked for a high foot right on the edge of his own box and this will be a real shooting opportunity for Getafe.

Benzema was offside! The Real Madrid striker was played through only for Soria to come off his line and make the save to deny him. The flag was up, though, for offside. Benzema's blushes are spared.

It's certainly true that the Real Madrid has looked more secure since Navas came back into the team. What does that mean for the future of Courtois at the Santiago Bernabeu, though?

The pattern of the game has changed in the last 10 minutes or so. Getafe are having to sit deep and soak up the pressure that Real Madrid are inflicting on them. Doing a good job.

This is a good spell of possession for Real Madrid, but for all that they are dominating the ball, they aren't doing much with it in the final third of the pitch. They look quite toothless.

Real Madrid have struggled to find their flow in this first half. They had that chance in the opening two minutes, but they have since toiled to get in behind the Getafe defensive line.

The comparison has been made between this Getafe side and the great Atletico Madrid sides under Simeone. There are parallels to be drawn. Both teams are very difficult to beat.

Bale is positioned over on the left side of the Real Madrid attack, but the Welsh winger is struggling to dovetail with Reguilon behind him, who is getting in the way of Bale when he has the ball.

One of the things Zidane likes about Brahim is that he runs at opposition defences from his position in midfield. The younster hasn't had the chance to do that this evening, though.

Bale and Benzema attempt to link up down the left side, but Getafe are well organised at the back and simply crowd out the Real Madrid duo. They are so calm on the ball. It's impressive.

Whack! That was a very clumsy tackle from Nacho on Duro. The Real Madrid defender was perhaps fortunate not to be shown a yellow card for that. He was nowhere near the ball.

Good feet from Benzema sees the Frenchman clip a cross into the middle, but the Getafe defence hold firm and Miquel heads clear under pressure from the Real Madrid attack.

That was a waste from Isco. Real Madrid won the freekick in a dangerous position high up the pitch, but there was a miscommunication and the playmaker's freekick floats long.

Real Madrid are quite clearly attempting to expose the Getafe high press by moving the ball in behind them as quickly as possible. It's making for a surprisingly open game to this point.

Cabrera has a long throw on him and is testing the Real Madrid defence by slinging the ball into the opposition box. Real Madrid are dealing with the physical threat well so far, though.
