Girona are struggling to string passes together after losing that opening goal. Their confidence has been knocked. They need to make sure they don't concede a second before half time.

Should that be a penalty? Casemiro went down in the Girona box after being hauled to the floor by Granell, but the referee decides only to have a word with the Girona man. Strange call.

This started off slowly, but all of a sudden the match has exploded into life. Real Madrid are the ones forcing the issue, but Girona have threat on the counter attack. Good watch.

Straight at Courtois! Girona come away on the counter attack, with Stuani getting the shot off on the Real Madrid goal. But he didn't have the angle to beat Courtois, who saves.

Across the face! Asensio links up well with Ceballos down the left, but nobody in white was gambling on the fizzed pass right across the face of the Girona goal. Decent opportunity.
