Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of this La Liga clash between Levante and Atletico Madrid. Spain may not be home to the best footballers in the world this season, but it is serving up the best title race with first to seventh separated by four points. And with Ronald Koeman the latest manager to collect his P45, the race for the La Liga crown is closer than ever. Having lost 5-3 to Sevilla on Sunday, Levante host yet another team with title ambitions. The club on the coast is the only one to have pulled the trigger earlier than Barcelona after sacking Paco Lopez following a winless start. Successor Javier Pereira won’t be judged on a game against Diego Simone’s team, but will have to start turning things around. Teams coming up...

15 minutes to go. It was only February when Levante beat Atletico in their last meeting. A Hermoso own goal and a strike in the 95th minute from winger Jorge de Frutos enough to do the damage. They can’t do it again can they?
20:13
Atletico have been better on the road this season, winning more games, three, and looking far more assured.
20:10
Despite finding it hard to claim a win, Levante have not made it easy for teams at home. They have drawn three out of four at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia.
20:05
Atletico Madrid’s start to the season has been patchy but a new-look attack based on old-time players is starting to gel. Now that João Félix and the returning Antoine Griezmann flank veteran Luis Suarez, their games have been far more open. Expect Atletico to revert to type if results stop going their way.
20:21
In other news, former Brighton goalkeeper, Maty Ryan, has just gone top of the table. A series of saves keeping Celta Vigo at bay for a 2-0 win for Real Sociedad.

And the men from Madrid...

Your Levante line-up...
19:55
Four defeats in five matches is a poor run by any stretch but even worse when you are about to host the champions looking to return to winning ways themselves. A win would lift Levante out of the relegation places, however.
19:51
Despite playing with a little more freedom this year...
19:49
Atletico have slipped out of the top four after failing to win their last two games. They sit seventh but are within a win of hurtling back into the top four. They will be without three of their key men for tonight’s game. Geoffrey Kondogbia, Marcos Llorente and Thomas Lemar all are out injured, turning what should have been a breezy trip to the Costa de Valencia, and the top of the table, into something a little more daunting.
19:47
Sitting just above the foot of the table and yet to claim their first win of the season, Levante welcome the reigning champions to the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia this evening. Levante played well against Sevilla on Sunday but found themselves far too open at the back against a free-flowing side. They’ll have to take heart from almost grabbing an equaliser before conceding the fifth but will know tonight’s opponents can be ruthless.
