This has been a strong start to the second half by Sevilla. They are in control of the ball and it seems Lopetegui has instructed his players to get away more shots on goal.

There is a lot of quality in this Sevilla team. They have been building for the last two seasons under Lopetegui. Could they mount a genuine title challenge in La Liga this season?

The Santiago Bernabeu is currently in the middle of a pretty comprehensive redevelopment project. There’s still a lot of work to be done, but you can see some of the progress they have made.

HALF TIME: Real Madrid 1-1 Sevilla. A very entertaining first half of football comes to a close and Real Madrid are somewhat fortunate to be level. Sevilla will be frustrated.

ASENSIO... over! That was a real opportunity for Asensio to put Real Madrid ahead in first half stoppage time, but he sends his shot over after excellent work by Vinicius!

There will be three minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the first half.

Can either side find a second goal before the half time break? Sevilla are in control of the ball at the moment. Real Madrid might settle for 1-1 at the interval. They have been poor.

Ocampos goes down inside the area looking for a penalty kick, but the replays prove that there was nothing in that. There was a slight contact. Not enough, though.

Sevilla need to regain their composure in the period before half time. They have been the better team so far despite that equaliser and must trust themselves to get a second.

The first yellow card of the match is shown to Acuna for a foul on Carvajal.

That could be a turning point in the match. Sevilla had been so strong in their performance until that moment. Bono might have gifted Real Madrid something from this game!
