TIME WASTING?
A few of the Barcelona fans are whistling and Xavi appears unhappy with time wasting Valladolid are doing.
They are nervous of getting into a situation like they did in the first game of the season versus Rayo Vallecano when they frustrated them into a 0-0 draw.
Vallladolid aren't sitting back like they did though, they are being defensively solid but are pressing Barca at times.

HOW DID THAT NOT GO IN?
Wow - incredible football from Barca. They combine beautifully, passing out from the back with Garcia and Kounde, Gavi and Raphinha combine.
The ex-Leeds winger crosses in to Lewandowski, who heads at goal but it hits the post, then hits the goalkeeper Matip on the back and it rolls across the line and Lewandowski can't reach it to tap it home and it gets clearedd.
You can't get closer than that.

WORK RATE
Valladolid are trying to attack down their right and expose the young attacking left-back Balde of Barca.
They head out another corner and Anuar races up the field but Dembele sprints back to tackle him.

ANGRY PACHETA
Barca attack well down the right yet again via Raphinha, he pulls it back to Dembele, who sees his shot blocked and it goes out for another corner.
Pacheta, the Valladolid boss, is unhappy with some of his players and is agitated on the touchline perhaps trying to change things tactically.

VALLADOLID BACK IN TOP FLIGHT
Real Valladolid managed to bounce straight back to La liga at the first time of asking last season finishing 2nd in the Segunda Division earning promotion.
Pacheta's side have found being back in the top league tough so far, they are currently 17th in the league, but fixtures have been tough. They lost to Villarreal 3-0, then got a good draw versus Sevilla. And the matches continue to get harder as they make the trip to Barcelona.
Did you know the club is owned by legendary striker Ronaldo (the Brazilian one)?

BARCA READY FOR TITLE CHALLENGE
Barcelona had a poor season last time out and have won just one trophy across the last two years - an underachievement for a club that expects so much.
Xavi is now in charge and despite financial difficulties he has spent heavily this summer bringing in quality at the back with Kounde and one of the best in the world in Lewandowski.
It appears despite interest in Frenkie de Jong, he will stay at Barca and form a midfield trio that is very talented with Gavi or Pedri and Busquets.
They are ready to fight Real Madrid for the league title.
