A rampant PSG surged to a barnstomring 4-1 victory over Lyon despite missing Champions League heroes Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele, with all five goals coming in the first half.

The league leaders were 2-0 up within six minutes as a blockbuster first half produced 20 attempts on goal, with Pierre Sage clearly determined to take the game to the league leaders.

The problem with that approach was they gave the game to PSG, with the visitors going close on several occasions and even scoring through Ernest Nuamah’s effort from outside the box but leaving themselves hideously exposed at the back.

How many times have we mentioned him tonight? What's perhaps most impressive about the 21-year-old is how he goes from standing still to full-speed in the blink of an eye and he does it again here, skipping between two defenders but just off taget with his shot.

That Benrahma substituion has seen Maitland-Niles push up from right-back to a second floating numner 10 role alongside Cherki. And it nearly pays dividends, he rocks Marquinhos onto the back foot and feeds Cherki but his shot is too close to Donnarumma.

It's Barcola again, neither Matic nor Mata can get near him as he drifts a ball across in that channel around four yards out from goal but there's no one to finish a certain goal.

Calm in this game is a PSG corner that leads to a Beraldo shot sailing well wide, but it's all relative after five goals in 50 minutes.
