Aleksandr Golovin scored two superb goals to earn Monaco a 2-1 victory against Metz, taking them top of Ligue 1 on Sunday evening, while Lyon are now bottom.
The Russian notched on 42 and 55 minutes to complete a comeback for the home side.
They had fallen behind after just four minutes when Lamine Camara opened the scoring for the visitors.
Golovin then took centre stage with two stunning goals. The first was a superb shot from distance, followed up by an event better free-kick for the win.
The three points were enough to take them top of the league, replacing Sunday morning’s leaders, Nice.
Metz are now 16th, just inside the relegation zone.

Lyon's dreadful season continues

Lyon slumped to the bottom of the Ligue 1 table as Clermont Foot leapfrogged them with a 2-1 win.
OL’s form has been disastrous this season and they had just three points to their name at the start of the tie as they welcomed Clermont Foot.
The home side’s ultras had already admonished their side for poor performances earlier in the season, and things duly got worse.

Little had been expected from the visitors this season, and they had just two points before kick-off without a win to their name.
They took the lead after just 10 minutes through Muhammed Cham, before Yohann Magnin added another 25 minutes later.
An own goal seven minutes into the second half from Florent Ogier gave Lyon hope, but they could not find a way through to grab an equaliser.

Toure seals win for Lorient

An own goal after just four minutes from Warmed Omari put Lorient ahead after just four minutes, but Ludovic Blas levelled on 21 minutes.
The winner came two minutes into first-half added time, when Isaak Toure struck for the home team.
Three points moves Lorient into 12th, with Rennes ninth.
In another match-up between two northern French sides, Yusuf Yacizi was the difference as he scored after just six minutes for Lille with the only goal of the game as they beat Brest 1-0.
Lille move into fourth spot, leapfrogging Brest who are now fifth.
Toulouse came back from a goal down in the south west to secure a 1-1 draw against last season’s dark horses, Reims.
Amir Richardson scored the first for the away side just after the restart for the second half, but Thijs Dallinga equalised on 51 minutes as the two teams shared the points.
Nantes ran out 2-0 winners over Montpellier, with Florent Mollet striking just before the referee blew for the end of the first half.
Kader Bamba then added a second to make certain of the three points half an hour later.
The win takes them in to seventh spot, with Montpellier 14th.
Later in the evening, Lyon face Clermont Foot as 17th plays 18th.
