Great chance for Rangers! Barton fires the ball across the face of goal after collecting a flick-on from Samba at the back post but Helguson is just unable to get the necessary connection as he throws out a leg.
19'
Now Barton floats in a corner as QPR search for a second, but Scott Dann heads away for the visitors. Gael Givet then clears upfield to chants of 'hoof!' from the home fans.

Salgado had been stationed on the post but came off it and was absent when he should have been heading the ball away. That is poor from a player of such experience.

GOAL! 1-0 QPR! Helguson almost scores with a header from a Faurlin corner but then recovers the ball and attempts to dink a cross to the far post. Luckily for the striker it soars over Robinson and in at the back post. Completely unintended but he won't be bothered.

Good pressure from Blackburn as Samba wins a couple of headers in the box. He is posing a real theat to the home side so far.

Nervy for QPR. Anton Ferdinand attempts to clear a cross but only succeeds in spooning the ball onto the top of his own bar and out for a corner!
13'
Paddy Kenny pulls out a dummy to deceive Roberts when waiting for the ball to roll out of play outside of his box but the ball slows and he is forced to tap it out for a throw. Rovers don't take advantage though.
12'
Michel Salgado throws the ball shot to Radosav Petrovic and he takes a touch before attempting a pretty outrageous effort that cannons straight into Shaun Derry.
11'
Martin Olsson, who scored for Sweden during the international break as they qualified for Euro 2012, takes far too long to dig out a cross but Blackburn win a corner. Lowe's set piece is headed away by Traore.
9'
Jamie Mackie gets the home fans singing his name when working hard to close down Nzonzi in the final third. It goes for a goal kick but Loftus Road appreciates the effort made by the striker, who starts his first game of the season today.
8'
Steven Nzonzi is one of the Blackburn giants placed in the box to meet Jason Lowe's deep free-kick but Chris Samba cannot get on the end of his header across goal.
6'
Now Faurlin dummies to make space 25 yards from goal and thumps in a shot that veers alarmingly off target. He looks the most lively so far though.
5'
Alejandro Faurlin is looking to get involved as he produces a succession of short passes. When the ball is worked wide to Armand Traore he sends in a dangerous cross but Heidar Helguson can only get under the ball when connecting with his head.
4'
Neither side has a lot of fluency at a sun-soaked Loftus Road and the ball is spending more time in the air than a British Airways pilot. Not the most entertaining game so far it must be said.
2'
It's been a scrappy start with a succession of fouls. Both sides have overhit the free-kicks awarded to them.

The two teams are in the tunnel with Joey Barton leading out QPR. He looks nicely focused.

Blackburn sacked assistant boss John Jensen recently as he was apparently made a scapegoat for their poor start to the season and the club confirmed on Friday that his replacement is former Chelsea coach Paul Clement. He will be alongside Kean today.
14.45
Rovers were defeated 4-0 at home by Manchester City last time out and Kean shakes things up in attack as Jason Roberts is deployed as a lone striker, with Yakubu and David Goodwillie dropping to the bench. Martin Olsson also comes in for Morten Gamst Pedersen. Ruben Rochina remains on the bench despite looking a decent player in the early part of the season.
14.40
Heidar Helguson and Jamie Mackie both make their first starts of the season in attack for QPR while captain Adel Taarabt is dropped to the bench by Neil Warnock after he left the ground early during the 6-0 drubbing at the hands of Fulham last time out.
