Good evening and welcome to LIVE text commentary of the Premier League clash between Burnley and Manchester City at Turf Moor. The Citizens will be hoping to close the gap on leaders Chelsea to just two points ahead of the Blues' clash with Southampton on Sunday. A City victory would indeed, crank up the heat on Jose Mourinho and co, although the Londoners would still have two games in hand. As for Burnley, they know a positive result is vital if they are to stay within touching distance of the sides just above the dropzone. Aston Villa's triumph at Sunderland means the Clarets are now four points adrift of safety.

Back up the other end and Fernandinho is the villain, getting himself into a pickle with a hint of handball before allowing Arfield to test Hart with a thumping low drive from a 20 yards.

GOOD SAVE! Fernandinho wins the ball deep in Burnley territory. The Brazilian feeds Dzeko who sees his low shot beaten away by Heaton at his near post. The follow-up eventually comes to Aguero but the keeper is able to easily gather the striker's drive from 18 yards.
28'
Good defending by Kompany as he stoops to nod away the danger after a flick-on had threatened to release Ings.
27'
City lacking urgency when they attempt to launch attacks. The likes of Silva and Toure are taking three or four touches at a time. It's giving Burnley the chance to close them down and get touch tight.
26'
Not much for Hart or Heaton to do up to this juncture.
25'
Dzeko takes aim from 20 yards but drags his effort harmlessly wide.
24'
Dzeko flicks on but it's straight to Duff. The Burnley defence have looked strong and well marshalled so far.

Burnley have looked good in a number of games this season but a lack of cutting edge in attack has cost them, which this stat backs up... STAT: The Clarets have scored just 13 goals in 14 Premier League home games this season.
22'
It's all about Vokes as he chests the ball down and starts a flowing Burnley attack that ends with him heading Trippier's whipped cross wide under pressure.
21'
DID YOU KNOW? Burnley won five of their first six home games in the Premier League (W5 L1) but since then have won just five of the last 27 (W5 D10 L12).
20'
Toure frees Aguero in the middle of the Burnley half. The Argentine skips beyond a couple of challenges but a wayward touch takes him just a bit too wide and his attempt back across goal deflects away to safety.
19'
Navas sprints clear on the right once more but his cross towards Silva is acrobatically headed clear by Shackell.
18'
Mee leaps for the corner once more but this time can't get a connection on it. Burnley looking good so far.
17'
Barnes' speculative shot from 30 yards takes a nick off Zabaleta's toe and results in a corner.
16'
Quiet so far from Vokes on his maiden PL start.
15'
City work the corner short but it eventually comes to nothing. Surely the better option would have been to arc one in towards Kompany and co?
14'
A lovely flick from Navas frees Zabaleta who cuts it back for Silva on the burst... the Spaniard looks to get free in the area but Shackell is there to put it behind for a corner.
12'
Mee rises at the far post but powers a header over the bar.
11'
More dangerous play from the Clarets on the right as Boyd's probing cross is headed behind for a corner. A bright spell for the hosts.
