GOAL!! Liverpool 2-0 West Ham. Sturridge scores on his return. Coutinho plays a huge part in the goal, driving forward from midfielder before sliding the striker through. Sturridge takes on touch to get the ball out of his feet and then drills it past Adrian from a tight angle.

Sterling drops deep, twists out of a couple of challenges and then feeds Lallana down the right. The England midfielder drives a wicked ball across the face of the goal, but it's just out of reach of Sturridge.

Finally a bit of positive and assertive goalkeeping from Mignolet, who races off his line to claim the Downing corner. Great stuff!

Downing gives Moreno the slip once again on the right touchline, bursting forward and crossing for Cole. Sakho is on hand to divert the ball out for a corner.

It's very, very scrappy at present, with neither side able to get hold of the ball. A route-one show is on display.

Noble's corner is swung into the box, and it has Mignolet at sixes and sevens, but the keeper isn't punished as Reid heads high and wide.

West Ham, having struggled to build any meaningful attacks in the second half, are resorting to a more direct approach.

It's going to be a real tough ask for the Hammers now. With the creativity of Sterling and Coutinho just in behind Sturridge, the West Ham players - particularly the two in front of the back four - will need to contain them, whilst hoping to get hold of the ball as they search for that equaliser.
