A long ball forwarded is collected by Darlow. He lobs it to Tiote, who is quickly closed down by Wickham, and he fouls him to relieve the pressure on Newcastle.

Lascelles shows nice feet to get away from a couple of defenders on the edge of the box. He threads it to Colback in the box, and he curls a shot well wide.

Headed away at the near post by Wijnaldum. Another cross from Cabaye is headed out, to Bolasie, and he leathers a volley at goal that Darlow leaps towards to beat away.

Cabaye has a pass inside for McArthur, free at the back post, cleared for a corner. Palace dither over it yet again. It's ridiculous.

About five minutes left in the half, and we'll see if the ref has clocked how much time was wasted.

Townsend cuts in from the right, toes it to Sissoko to cross, but it's cleared. Back to Townsend, who hooks a ball into the area which bounces away. Dann then clears from another cross. Yet another cross, Colback to Sissoko, and he goes with a foot when he should have ducked in with his head, and misses.

Mbemba sends a shot from 35 yards which is fiercely hit. It bounces just in front of Hennessey who beats it away.

Mike Dean ends a Palace counter when the ball is played into his stride and he can't leap out of the way quickly enough.

Some poor play all around, with nothing exciting or meaningful happening.

Cabaye loops a ball to Bolasie, who takes it away from Mbemba easily. He launches a shot from around 30 yards, and it's fiercely struck, just a yard or two wide.

Anita looks for Townsend, and Souare covers to play the ball out for a throw.

Souare grounds the ball to allow Wickham to take a throw, but Palace have changed personnel for set pieces time and time again to waste time. The crowd are getting sick of it. Darlow punches the throw into the ground, and wins a foul.

Bolasie drives down the left, into the box past Mbemba, but Colback runs across to cover, and concede a throw.

Plenty of short passing in midfield, Colback clips a ball to Cisse, and it flies over his head.

Hennessey and Delaney both go down for treatment. They collided with one another, and Sissoko, who was pressuring them both while chasing a long ball.

Darlow makes an important save from a well struck shot from a tight angle by Cabaye.

Puncheon lines up a corner on the left wing. Flighted to the back post, it is booted out by Colback to the halfway line. Puncheon brings down the ball on the left, and deftly takes it into the box before the ball is intercepted.

Tiote is tackled by McArthur in midfield and Palace play the ball out right.

Palace play the ball around in defence, and Newcastle sit off them.

Swung in by Cabaye and Darlow punches it away. It comes to Townsend who hacks it clear, and Wjnaldum attempts to break before he's fouled.
