So that's the whistle - five wins in their last eight to keep Southampton in contention for a place in Europe next season. Southampton 4-2 Man City and so deserved by the Saints.

A pretty feeble attempt, to be honest. Its a tepid shot that rolls into Forster's hands and is sent away.

Southampton really need to be trying to keep it away from their area now, but City are pressing back on them. Is this going to be their final break for it?

There's been a substitution for Southampton - Rodriguez has been brought on for Tadic.

Tempers are fraying now as some sort of scrap seems to have broken out between Nasri and Martina. To be fair to Martina, Nasri has full-on shoved him in the back.

Southampton have just got to hold out six minutes give or take. But City look more awake now as the reality of this loss sinks in - you start to feel a little nervous for Southampton, even with a two-goal lead.

Brilliant clearance by Southampton with a dangerous-looking Sterling who's got support in the box and a good opportunity (although it probably would have been better if he'd passed it)

GOAL! Iheanacho is on the edge of the box to receive a cross which he curls into the top-far corner of the net - it's a lovely finish and really he's been the only watchable component of City's team, today.

Southampton have a free kick to the far side of the area, but not done very well, as City steal possession and go back on the attack.

Let's just take a moment to reflect on the fact that Southampton are beating Manchester City 4-1. City would really have to go some now to even equalise. Still, this is football, stranger things have happened.

GOAL! A swift counter-attack by the Saints sees a great run on the ball by Mane. City can't catch him and Hart goes down just a second too early. Hat trick for Mane - surely that's the game over?

Steven Davis takes another corner, curls it into the box, Van Dijk makes a spectacular overhead kick and it's very close - would have been a beauty if it had gone in.

Fabian Delph is coming off now, replaced by Jesus Navas as Pellegrini looks to level things.
