Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of Southampton v Watford at St Mary’s. We’ll have team news and build-up over the next hour followed by full text commentary.

The final whistle goes and St Mary's celebrates one of the most one-sided victories they've seen this season. Goals from Shane Long and Dusan Tadic have won it for the Saints, but in truth this could have been a cricket score were it not for a combination of poor finishing and some terrific saves from Heurelho Gomes in the Watford goal. Thanks very much for joining us.

It's still all Southampton as they pour forward looking for a third. They are well worth this win.

We're into five minutes of added time at St Mary's.

Holebas does brilliantly to deny Long with a sliding tackle inside the box as the hosts break. That looked nailed on to be a third for the Saints and Long can hardly believe it.

Tadic fires over when he really should hit the target inside the box. He holds his head in hands - that could easily have been a brace for the sub.

Shane Long wrong-foots himself with a dummy and slips on the greasy surface. I imagine he'll be hearing more about that in the coming days.

Still no sign of life for Watford. They have seen more of the ball since the second Southampton goal, but chances have been few and far between for the visitors.

It's a double change for Southampton. Off go Davis and Cedric and on come Pelle and Yoshida.

There are ten minutes left for the Saints to hold on to a win that they really need.

Deeney shoots from distance, but his effort is half blocked and Forster prevents it from going out for a corner. Watford just can't catch a break.

Southampton break at pace and very nearly add a third as Davis crosses for Long. The striker is under lots of pressure at the back stick, but he still manages to get a touch... unfortunately for him to send the ball skimming wide.

Deeney goes into the book for a clumsy clash with Romeu. It's not been a great night for the much-heralded Watford strike duo.

GOOOAAALLL!!! Finally Southampton get the second goal that they so richly deserve. A long ball forward is picked up by Tadic, who twists away from two defenders and beats Gomes with the shot. The keeper may feel he could have done better with that, but he's been the best player for the visitors tonight so let's not judge him too harshly.

Southampton hack a free-kick clear, but there was panic in the defensive ranks there and fingernails are being shredded in the stands.

And now it's Watford's time to make a change. On comes Cathcart, with Britos making way.

Change for Southampton. Off goes the excellent Mane, with Tadic coming on in his place.
