Good afternoon and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE commentary of the Premier League clash involving Stoke City and Crystal Palace. Stay tuned for team news and all of the pre-match build-up.

KICK-OFF! Stoke City get us underway at a lively (and mild) Britannia Stadium.

But sixth-placed Crystal Palace will provide a stern test. Alan Pardew’s side have won 10 away games in the league since he took over in January, a figure bettered only by Arsenal (12 victories) in that time.

Mark Hughes’ side claimed a 2-0 victory over Manchester City in their previous home match and a similar result today could lift Stoke as high as fifth place – leapfrogging Palace in the process.

MATCH STAT: Stoke have won nine of 25 home games against Palace, who have recorded eight wins.

"Stoke have got some very good players who will worry us, but we go there full of confidence, because we believe we have the quality to play against the very best teams now.

"There is not a lot between us and Stoke, and we both have enough talented players to make it a really open game.

"There is a lot riding on this match, we want to stay in sixth place, Stoke will have an offensive threat they have not had for some time, but they also need to worry about us."

Mark Hughes (Stoke City): "They [Palace] can soak up pressure, which they are very good at, and then they have pace and a real threat going the other way.

"There's no coincidence to their record. With the team and the weapons they have, it lends itself better to playing away.

"We're now ahead of where we thought we'd be. That's encouraging considering we didn't win any of the first six games."

Crystal Palace captain Mile Jedinak remains on the sidelines but Joe Ledley makes a return to midfield.

Xherdan Shaqiri has passed a late fitness test and starts for the hosts but the match has come too soon for the injured Stephen Ireland. Phil Bardsley makes the bench.
