David Moyes apologises for 'slap' threat to female reporter

David Moyes has apologised to BBC reporter Vicki Sparks after warning her she “might get a slap” following a post-match interview, and telling her to be “careful the next time you come in”.
The exchange was caught on camera after Sparks had finished interviewing Moyes following a 0-0 draw between Sunderland and Burnley in March.
Moyes appeared to be unhappy with the line of questioning from the Match of the Day reporter.
In footage posted on the Daily Star website, he said to Sparks:
“It was getting a wee bit naughty at the end there so just watch yourself. You still might get a slap even though you’re a woman… careful the next time you come in.”
A BBC spokesman told the paper: “Mr Moyes has apologised to our reporter and she has accepted his apology.”
A spokesman for the club said: “David and the reporter spoke to one another subsequently and the matter was resolved amicably.”
Labour MP Dr Rosena Allin-Khan, the shadow minister for sport, demanded the Football Association take action.
UPDATE
Moyes addressed the issue in a press conference on Monday, telling the media:
I deeply regret the comments I made. That's certainly not the person I am. I've accepted the mistake. I spoke to the BBC reporter, who accepted my apology.
