Mane provides contract update

We begin with quotes from Liverpool forward Sadio Mane about his contract situation. Mane's current deal expires in 2021 and he has been linked with a move away. Mane said after the 1-1 draw with Arsenal that he was "happy" at Liverpool and focusing on the team's games.
Paper Round's view: Liverpool fans need to hope that Mane's words are genuine and he intends to sign a new contract. Since joining the club he has become a pivotal part of the team's attack and he still has plenty to offer. Keeping their attacking trident is crucial for Liverpool.

Klopp weighing up Shaqiri decision

Plenty of papers are talking about Xherdan Shaqiri and whether or not he will be taken by Liverpool to Serbia for their Champions League away clash against Red Star Belgrade. Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly worried that Shaqiri's inclusion may be a huge distraction give the hostile reaction he has received from Serbia fans in the past.
Paper Round's view: This is an extremely delicate issue politically but Shaqiri seems pretty confident that he will be able to deal with anything that happens. You can certainly understand why the club would consider leaving him in Liverpool though...

Everton could include Lookman in Wan-Bissaka deal

We now have a couple of stories from The Mail and the first says that Everton want to sign Crystal Palace's Aaron Wan-Bissaka as they look to replace Seamus Coleman. Palace are reluctant to see the academy product leave and as a result Everton may offer up Ademola Lookman in exchange.
Paper Round's view: The opportunity to partner Wilfried Zaha with a player as talented as Lookman is certainly tempting for Palace. However Wan-Bissaka has established himself as one of the best full-backs in the bottom half of the Premier League. Plus he's homegrown, so Palace would be unwise to let him leave.

West Ham consider Kostas Mitroglou and Diego Demme

We end with West Ham and a report which says that they are interesting in signing Kostas Mitroglou and Diego Demme. Marseille want to trim their wage bill which makes Mitroglou available whilst Demme is being considered with Declan Rice's future still unclear.
Paper Round's view: Demme could be a very useful addition for West Ham IF Rice leaves, otherwise he may not be needed. It's hard to see what Mitroglou would add despite his impressive form after leaving Fulham for Olympiacos and then Benfica. He hasn't exactly shone for Marseille thus far...
