The last time this fixture was played in the top flight Palace came from 2-0 down to win 2-3, Dwight Gale netting an 87th-minute winner.

Kick-off just ten minutes away. As ever football is keen to align itself to what it sees as good causes so there will be a remembrance service before the game.

This man's form has also helped.

Burnley are strong at home, with ten of their 11 points this season coming from home fixtures, which has left Dyche's side in a much stronger position than they were in in the 2014-15 season when they had only four points at this stage. He said he's managing "a more solid group this time round."

Not sure about this Pardew claim though.

Pardew was full of praise for Sean Dyche ahead of the match, crediting him with doing a "super job" at Turf Moor. "He brings an honesty and thoroughness to his performances, is a modern coach who will have a long career in this game I am sure," he added.

Palace have also conceded in their last 15 away Premier League games, so defending clearly an issue for Alan Pardew's side.

Burnley have scored just eight goals in the league this season - a tally only Sunderland have fewer than - but today come up against a defence that's yet to keep a clean sheet, a feat matched only by Sunderland. That shows a moveable object is meeting a resistible force and that Sunderland are hopeless.

Gareth Southgate is going to be an interested spectator today and he must be pretty happy with those line-ups. Townsend, Tome Heaton and Michael Keane are already on his radar and perhaps a few others - Wilfried Zaha especially - could play themselves into his squad with a timely performance here.

Meanwhile it's three changes for the visitors; Joe Ledley, James Tomkins and Chung-Yong Lee all drop to the bench for Jason Puncheon, Andros Townsend and Damien Delaney.

Burnley make two changes to the side that got a point at Old Trafford last weekend, with Jon Flanagan in for the injured Stephen Ward and Steven Defour replacing Andre Gray, who drops to the bench.
