This has been a great start to the second half by Chelsea. There's a real energy and drive to their play since the restart. West Ham are hanging on here. Bilic must be a worried man.

Hazard probably should have taken it first time! Willian surges down the right side and picks out the Belgian with the cut back, but he took too long to get the shot away at goal.

This is a real problem for West Ham now. They will have to come out and attack which will leave more space in behind for the attacking threats Chelsea have to exploit.

Just moments before Hazard scored the opener for Chelsea, Costa drew a save low down from Adrian. Those two players have been the best players on the pitch so far tonight.

There can be no debate about the award of the penalty kick. Antonio went right through the back of Azpilicueta as he attempted to make the challenge. He brought him down, blatantly.

Hazard has been the best player on the pitch in this first half, but Conte will surely be concerned with how his Chelsea team have looked rather toothless in the final third of the pitch.

CHANCE IN THE WEST HAM BOX! The cross was met by Ivanovic, with the ball falling at the feet of Costa. But he fluffed his lines and the chance is gone for Chelsea. Bit of a scramble.

It now feels like both teams are seeing out this first half, hoping for the break to get a breather and take on some fresh instructions from their respective coaches. Peculiar feeling to this contest.

How do we feel about Kante wearing the number seven shirt for Chelsea when the number six shirt is free? Is number seven really the squad number of an anchoring midfielder?

Having said that, there hasn't really been much in the way of quality from either side in front of goal. Hazard and Costa have shown it in glimpses, but it remains goalless.

West Ham started this match brightly but they have really faded as the second half has progressed. They need the half-time break to regroup and come up with something of a new plan.
