We're just minutes from kick-off now. After suffering a 2-0 defeat to Spurs last time out, Can Man City bounce back with three points at the Etihad Stadium or can Everton, winless in their previous three matches, spring a surprise?

PRE-MATCH STAT! City have conceded five goals in their last two games in all competitions, only one goal fewer than in their previous 10 matches. Having scored in five in five, Everton frontman Romelu Lukaku must be rubbing his hands reading that statistic!

Defeat by Tottenham last time out ended Manchester City's 11-match unbeaten start to the season in all competitions and Everton will be intent on adding further misery to the Citizens. However, City have won four and drawn two of the last six league meetings between the clubs.

Pep Guardiola also spoke very highly of Koeman. "Ronald is a big friend of mine," he told reporters on Friday. "When Ronald needed water, he'd wake up to water from me. I was younger so I looked up to him. "He was not just a room mate, we spent a lot of time together and he was so generous. Not just on the pitch but off it too -- I learned a lot from looking at him.

Ronald Koeman insists he will be putting friendship aside when he faces former Barcelona roommate Pep Guardiola on the touchline today.
“They are all good memories,” said Koeman, when asked about his time sharing a room with Guardiola. “We are really strong friends. Now it’s a little bit more easy because he is living in Manchester, I live close to Manchester and sometimes we have time to have dinner and to talk about football and life. We are friends. I wish them all the best - but not on Saturday."

Meanwhile, Everton boss Ronald Koeman makes one change to the team that drew with Crystal Palace as Gerard Deulofeu starts in place of Ross Barkley for the trip to Manchester City. Deulofeu is expected to occupy the right flank with Bolasie operating on the left and Romelu Lukaku, who scored for the Blues at the Etihad two seasons ago, spearheading the attack.

AGUERO ON THE BENCH: Well, who would have predicted that? Sergio Aguero, who has scored 28 goals in his last 28 league games, is replaced by Kelechi Iheanacho in attack to play alongside Raheem Sterling. Elsewhere, Kevin de Bruyne returns from injury and features in midfield. Ilkay Gundogan and Gael Clichy also come into the team for this match, with Aleksander Kolarov and Fernando dropping to the bench.
