Pedro and Ivanovic team up on Igahlo and win the ball back for the Blues and suddenly the visitors are on the break but Watford are able to break up the attack.

The rain is falling quite heavily now. The game is being played at a much slower tempo than the opening 10 minutes. It's an even contest at the moment.

DANGEROUS! Hazard slips past a challenge in a wide position and plays a square pass across the face of goal and Costa has a simple tap-in only for the intervention of Britos who clears the ball over the bar.

The new boys are paraded before kick-off...

Pedro was caught sleeping and he's fortunate his carelessness hasn't cost his side an early goal. Conte will be furious.

SAVE! A clever through ball from Britos cuts open the visitors and slips Holebas behind the defence but the winger can't beat Courtois from a tight angle as the goalkeeper stands up tall and makes the save.

Chelsea are seeing plenty of the ball at the moment and Watford are showing their opponents a little too much respect. A patient build-up from Chelsea results in a corner as Costa's attempted shot is blocked.

Prodl barges into the back of Costa and concedes a free-kick in the middle of the pitch. Watford are clearly trying to get into the Chelsea frontman's face in the early stages.

The Chelsea full-backs are getting forward early in the contest, Azpilicueta is allowed time and space to swing a cross into the penalty area but it's played straight to Gomes who collects.

STAT! Watford's only win in the last 15 league and cup meetings came at home in the first Premier League fixture between the sides 17 years ago (W1, D5, L9).
