Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has expressed his surprise at Leicester City’s decision to sack Claudio Ranieri, likening the decision to voting for Donald Trump or Brexit.

The Foxes boss was told on Thursday night of the club's decision after his side lost 2-1 to Sevilla in the last 16 of the Champions League. It came after reports of players being unhappy with his leadership.
But Klopp was clearly stunned by the move.
“Am I surprised that things like this can happen? No,” he said.
It's not only football. For me, there have been a few strange decisions in 16-17... Brexit, Trump and Ranieri.
"Do I have to understand it all the time? No, obviously not. It happens still. I've no idea why Leicester (did) this. I don't know enough. You have to ask Leicester why they have done it."

The Liverpool manager was speaking at his Friday press conference ahead of Liverpool’s game against Leicester on Monday night.
The squad travelled to La Manga for a warm-weather training trip this week, but Klopp says it’s vital that his players keep their focus amid the circumstances of Monday’s game at the King Power Stadium.
“We want to see a lot of the same things (against) Leicester as we saw (against) Tottenham,” he said. “We want to be strong, lively and well organised. Leicester's players will want to show a few things and it's our job not to let them. If we play our best we're difficult to face.”
